Clear Creek Tahoe Community Foundation
The Clear Creek Tahoe Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, was created to protect and strengthen the place we call home. The foundation supports fire mitigation and prevention, trail and conservation efforts, education initiatives, and broader community causes across Clear Creek Tahoe and the surrounding region. Through partnerships with local fire agencies, conservation groups, the local community and the Clear Creek community itself, we invest in practical projects that enhance safety, preserve natural beauty, promote educational support initiatives, and build lasting resilience within the greater Tahoe community.
MISSION
The CCTCF is dedicated to strengthening and enriching our community for generations to come. As a nonprofit organization serving both the local community and the broader region, we will bring community members together, mobilize resources, and support initiatives that protect our community, preserve the natural environment, and invest in the future of local children and young adults.
VISION
A resilient, well-protected Clear Creek Tahoe community where residents, natural landscapes, and the surrounding region thrive through proactive wildfire preparedness, thoughtful conservation, and lasting community investment.
CORE PRIORITIES
The Foundation concentrates on three interconnected areas:
- We are committed to protecting our community from the risks of fire by promoting preparedness, prevention, education, and community-based efforts that enhance safety and resilience.
- We seek to promote and preserve the great outdoors through the development and protection of trails, conservation initiatives, stewardship of natural resources, and programs that encourage people of all ages to experience, appreciate, and protect the natural environment in and around the Tahoe region.
- We are equally committed to investing in education and lifelong learning, supporting area children from kindergarten through college with opportunities, resources, mentorship, and programs designed to help them reach their full potential and develop the knowledge, character, and leadership skills necessary to become the next generation of community leaders.
Through collaboration, philanthropy, education, stewardship, and service, the Foundation strives to create a safer, stronger, healthier, and more vibrant community—today, and for generations to come.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
We welcome donations from those within the Clear Creek Tahoe community as well as others in the surrounding area who wish to help make an indelible impact in the local area. This will be accomplished with various charitable events and an online giving platform.
The initial event, hosted by CCTCF, is what we hope will become the annual the Jim Taylor Invitational Golf Tournament held at Clear Creek Tahoe. This tournament is in honor of one of our founders who, thanks to his tireless dedication, led to the creation of the community and club that we enjoy today. Jim was the key contributor to preserving more than half of the land within Clear Creek Tahoe to be held permanently in conservation for its beauty and recreational enjoyment. He also was the visionary who attracted the team at Coore Crenshaw to develop the golf masterpiece we have in our community today. It is fair to state, without Jim’s efforts, it is likely that none of us would be community members today.
